As a department, we strongly encourage students to take both test at lease once because there is really no way to know which is better suited for your student outside of experiencing the test.  Kaplan has created a simple quiz aimed at assisting families at making the best decision for their student.  Click here for more information.

Graduation Requirements

Cobb County School District policy IHF-R states that students must obtain 23 credits in order to be eligible for graduation.

College Entrance Requirements

Please be mindful that meeting CCSD graduation requirements does not always mean meeting entrance requirements for some 4-year Colleges/Universities.  The counselors always encourage students and their families to research the entrance requirements for their desired university to ensure that the proper coursework is taken while matriculating at McEachern High School.

To assist students and families with taking the proper coursework to meet the MINIMUM entrance requirements to their member Colleges/Universities, the University System of Georgia publishes 'Staying On Course.'
